I was chuffed the other week to score a pair of tickets to a free screening organised by VW - the deal was you voted for your favourite films out of a list containing Top Gun, Bridget Jones, Sex And The City etc and the winning film was to be shown on the night. The trick was that you did not know in advance what you were going to see. I managed to find a friend who was game for this, but we made a deal: we'd run for cover at the first sign of a certain Abba sing-along nightmare. And as luck would have it Mamma bloody Mia came on screen - we ran out as far as we could, barely managing to escape before the first out-of-tune tune. Phew. Saved us having a really annoying song in our heads all night. Forked out to see UP in 3D instead - would have paid twice the price of the admission tickets to NOT see Mamma Mia again... seriously people, you voted for Mamma Mia???!?

I'm the Dark Lord and I have the power to diss... This video is the best Star Wars thing I've seen in a long time. In a galaxy far, far away some marketing bod also had the grand idea to embed an ad for Tekken 6 at the start, thereby ensuring it will be seen by gazillions of people... genius! I wish I'd thought of that!
